Enjoy the unique spicy-sweet taste of Kerengan Jahe, a traditional Javanese snack that originated in Solo but now becoming rare to find on these days. In Javanese, “kerengan” means hard and “jahe” means ginger. Kerengan Jahe made through a unique process, by set all mixed ingredients and roast it on the hot stone. Shaped like chips, the crispy snack is made from a mixture of ginger, grated coconut, rice flour and palm sugar, and is the perfect treat to eat at dusk with a glass of warm tea.
