XYZ House

The deck itself gently bridges toward the neighboring home, allowing for visual connection and familial closeness without encroaching on each other’s boundaries. Atop the residence, the third level is articulated as a bold travertine-clad volume—a heavy, sculptural box that appears to levitate. From the street, a small, punctured aluminium lattice volume on the corner subtly reveals the presence of a hidden aviary, reflecting the homeowner’s appreciation for nature and tranquility.

XYZ House

Situated on two adjacent lots—one containing an unfinished structure and the other vacant—XYZ House responds to both spatial constraints and generational dynamics of the users. Designed for the first generation, the project negotiates between an existing structure, a new extension, and the adjacent second-generation home with a contrasting classic style. A reimagined shared entry gate becomes a unifying element, bridging differing architectural identities and establishing a cohesive frontage.
