Observed every year on 30 June, the International Day of Parliamentarism celebrates the important role of parliaments in representing people, making laws, and strengthening democracy.
This year, the Day is observed under a theme that highlights the role of parliaments in protecting human rights, upholding democratic freedoms, and ensuring that the voices of the people they represent are heard.

Cong. Bella Suansing, binigyang-diin ang nagbabagong hamon sa pagsugpo ng ilegal na droga.
Bilang Head of Delegation ng Pilipinas sa 9th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Inter-Parliamentary Assembly Advisory Council for Dangerous Drugs (AIPACODD) Meeting, ipinaalala ni Cong. Bella na ang laban kontra sa droga ay hindi lamang usaping kriminal, kung hindi isa ring hamon na masosolusyonan lamang kung tutugunan din natin ang iba pang mga isyung humaharang sa pag-unlad ng ating lipunan.
