We sub-contract our construction works to a local team, very experienced in building in these hills. For custom builds they can do everything from civil works to electrical and plumbing.

We sub-contract the prefabricated houses, to an experienced housing contractor in Sulawesi. They’ve got tones of experience building, shipping and installing houses all over the country. Examples of their work can be found all through the Gilis and now South Lombok. Our local team will do the site works and substructure (footings, foundation) but the main building including all electrical and plumbing is done by them.

Again if you have a local construction team you want to work with, you’re under no obligation to use ours but we ask they have experience building on hillsides in South Lombok and may insist on an independent Project Manager to keep an eye on the site. This is to ensure all builds run smoothly, for the benefit of the buyer but also the neighbors and ourselves.

Jabon is the range of hills setback 1-2km from Selong Belanak beach, looking directly over the bay encompassing Mawi (to the left), Selong Belanak (center) and Serangan / TAB (to the right) depending on where you are.

Traditionally they have been fairly dry (and therefore unproductive) farm land, growing to***co in the dry season and mountain rice in the wet season. Their main drawcard has and still is the view, followed by the relative coolness thanks to their south facing aspect and elevation which reaches 180m in places. Although there are many hills with sea views, there’s not many with views like these. Simply put, in Jabon its all about getting away off the beaten track and taking in the view.

In terms of tourist offerings there is very little to do, except for visit the stunning restaurant Aura within Selong Selo. However that is set to change with what is the fastest growing luxury villa market in Lombok, led by the iconic Selong Selo development. With that and given its tranquil natural environment, Jabon is projected to see an influx of spas, bars, saunas, steamers, cafes, yoga studios and walking trails. There’s plans to install mountain biking trails, setup horse riding ventures, permaculture farms and even ceramic studios. All of which is due to the luxury villas being built, which is largely due to amazing sea views.

Located 13km west of Kuta Lombok (20mins drive) or 17km southwest of Lombok International Airport (25mins drive), lies this beautiful hook in the coastline known as Selong Belanak. The jewel in the crown is Selong Belanak beach itself, but the area also encompasses the surfing beaches of Mawi (just south), Serangan (just west) and TAB (just west).

Selong Belanak beach itself is widely regarded as the best swimming beach in South Lombok with fine chalky white sand, blue water, calm waves and offshore winds for 9 months of the year. There is no coral reef underneath the waves making it family friendly and a great place to learn to surf (for advanced surfers, Mawi offers the most consistent quality surf in the dry season (May-Oct) and Serangan in the wet season (Nov-April)).

This part of South Lombok coastline is unique in that it bends 90 degrees to the west, protecting it from the SE trade winds / SW swells but also creates magical sunsets looking down the wave drenched coastline. Additionally, boat access is excellent (for fishing, spearfishing, yachting) and it's the perfectly suited to calm water activities such as Stand Up Paddling (SUP) and Kayaking. Lastly if eating and chilling is your thing this areas has the only beachfront hotels and restaurants in South Lombok, outside the Novotel...
