Fourteen years of sailing is a profound journey. ⚓✨

Since we first gathered on the 1st floor of the IPTEKS Building at Hasanuddin University in 2011, the Hasanuddin English Community (HEC) has remained steadfast in its commitment to being a home for learners from all walks of life. Over the years, we have shared countless stories, laughter, and unforgettable discussions.

However, today we must deliver a heavy announcement. After 14 years of sailing, HEC is officially entering an Indefinite Hiatus.

We express our deepest gratitude to everyone who has been part of this long and storied history. Though our ship must now dock, we hope that your passion for learning English will never fade.

Once a Fella, always a Fella.

Goodbye for now,
HEC - Its Easy

World No To***co Day (WNTD) is celebrated every year on May 31. It helps people learn about the health risks of using to***co, how to***co companies operate, and what the World Health Organization (WHO) is doing to reduce to***co use. It also encourages everyone to protect their health and future generations by avoiding to***co.

Jacob Riis was a Danish-American journalist and photographer who showed people the difficult living conditions of poor families in New York City in the late 1800s. His famous book, “How the Other Half Lives”, revealed how crowded and unhealthy tenement buildings were, helping to bring about improvements in housing and living conditions for many.

Riis used photographs and stories to show how unfair and tough life was for many immigrants and poor people. His work made more people aware of these problems and pushed the government to make changes. He is remembered as one of the first to use photos to fight for social justice and help those in need.

The date May 17 was chosen as National Book Day because it marks the historic founding of the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia on May 17, 1980.

The purpose of National Book Day is to increase interest and awareness of the importance of reading and writing among the Indonesian people.

Fourteen years ago,
a group of individuals came together to establish a community that could serve as a platform for people who wished to develop their English language skills.

And thus, the Hasanuddin English Community (HEC) was formed.

For 14 years,
HEC has been supporting us all in achieving our dreams. It may only be a small part that lingers in your minds, but it has a profound impact on our sustainability.

Thank you very much for your support, loyalty, and commitment in helping to maintain this community.
