Moon Parrot
Forged from reclaimed steel,
a totem of sun, moon and earth;
form unfolding through void and shadow.
As light moves, the work shifts…
abstract, yet quietly becoming.
Part of the Victorian Sculptors Association exhibition at MIFGS 2026, opening today.
Grateful to be among this collective of artists.

Final Spring (Rainy) Day 🌼 — Smith St Pop-Up Art Event
Today wraps up the opening weekend of the Festivus Pop-Up at Ground 125, and what a great few days it’s been — meeting artists, collectors, and plenty of art-lovers.
The gallery plans to continue the pop-up throughout December… but today is the final day of the spring launch, and the last chance to see this particular mix of works and artists together.
I’ve brought in a few larger paintings along with small originals and etchings, and yesterday we even took the art out into the street with some chalk drawing — a beautiful way to share art openly with the community.
A very cool moment: one of my favourite radio presenters, Chris Gill, dropped by the pop-up. We had a great chat — and only after he left did I realise it was Chris. In true Chris Gill style, he walked off saying, “Keep it Funky.” I thought… I know that voice. A rare, genuine person.

I’m excited to be part of the Smith St Market – Festivus Pop-Up Art Event this weekend with Fitzroy Public Gallery. I’ll have a selection of small original works available — pieces created with story, rhythm and soul.
In a world full of replication, it’s grounding to offer something made by hand… something with spirit.
If you’re nearby, come say hello and support a brilliant artist-run space bringing community and creativity together in Fitzroy.
OPENING TONIGHT — Friday 28 Nov, 6–9pm
ALL WEEKEND — Sat & Sun, 11am–5pm

Looking forward to seeing you there ✨

✨ ILLUMINATION with HOWe ✨
Thank you to everyone who joined last night’s Illumination workshop — what a beautiful evening to share. The light shifted, the air stilled, birds settled as the frogs began their chorus, and we closed by the fire with spontaneous ink drawings in response to the space.
We began by grounding — shoes off, feet across river rock mosaics — reconnecting to Country, sound, and place. 🌿
Special thanks to Deb for capturing and sharing a few moments from the night.
It’s so important in this modern world of noise and clutter to slow down, reconnect with nature, and be present with what truly nourishes the spirit. ✨

This will be an immersive sensory experience, exploring the studio and outdoor environment — observing light, sound, texture, and atmosphere. There’ll be moments to create and respond, but it’s less a workshop and more an experience of presence, reflection, and connection through art and place.
The event goes ahead rain, hail, or shine, so please dress for the conditions.
If you can no longer make it, please let us know so we can offer your spot to someone on the waiting list.
If you missed out, DM or email [email protected] — we’ll happily add you to the list for future sessions.
