On 25 May 2026, Bali Governor Wayan Koster met World Bank Country Director Carolyn Turk in Denpasar to discuss five key sustainability priorities for Bali’s future.
The conversation goes beyond tourism numbers. As Bali continues to grow as one of the world’s most recognised destinations, these issues affect daily life.
The provincial government says sustainability is already part of Bali’s long-term plan. Including waste-to-energy projects.
The question now is how quickly these plans turn into visible improvements? For Bali, sustainability is no longer optional; it is the priority.
