Penyalahgunaan narkoba telah menjadi polemik yang tak kunjung usai di Indonesia, dan tentunya juga dunia internasional. Menilik kasus “Bali Nine” dan “Schapelle Corby” yang pernah terjadi, perlu ada pandangan lebih lanjut mengenai cara pemidanaan dan jenis kejahatan yang terjadi dalam kasus tersebut. Maka dari itu, kami mengajak segenap member ILSA Chapter UNS dan anggota Komunitas Pidana Kriminologi FH UNS untuk berpartisipasi di dalam Focus Group Discussion ILSA ILLUSION 2023 dengan tema “Drugs, Death Penalty, and Amnesty under Transnational Criminal Law.”

The Threat Of Massive Danger Toward The Privacy Of People Around The World

To live in safe surroundings has been a dream for most people around the world. The aforementioned safety must also include the so-called privacy as a right recognized in Article 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 17 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), and in many other international and regional human rights instruments. Human rights bodies and experts have been vocal about spyware for many years.

The United Nations General Assembly and the Human Rights Council have continuously declared firmly that member states should refrain from illegal surveillance. However, many jurisdictions have not established the essential, clear, precise, and publicly available laws governing hacking operations. Data protection laws are not harmonized across different countries and regions, which can create legal uncertainties and challenges.
