As much as I want to defend photographers, I also do not agree with the culture of hogging space at events with light stands. If you wish to setup , ensure it’s not in the way from main traffic, use corners if possible (Suntec photogs are the best example) and don’t throw your tripods stand around like you are Cloud using your six swords spreading them like you are mansplaining or just a dog marking your territory.
