Smoky quartz with beautiful three points😍
Scientifically, smoky quartz is silicon dioxide, a variety of quartz that is brown to black in color because natural radiation interacts with aluminum impurities in its crystal lattice, forming color centers that absorb light. It has a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. This radiation alters the trace aluminum impurities in the quartz structure, creating color centers (trapped electrons) that absorb blue/green light, giving it a smoky appearance.
