Masyarakat Bali mempercayai jika air adalah sebagai sumber kehidupan (tirta amerta) dan secara simbolis Melasti dilambangkan sebagai proses untuk menyucikan segala kekotoran duniawi dan menyirnakan karma buruk. Secara filosofis, Melasti merupakan kegiatan menyucikan alam semesta (Bhuana Agung) dan alam manusia (Bhuana Alit).

Karya foto ini diambil menggunakan lensa optik 35mm pada Xiaomi 14, di mana focal length ini menjadi andalan dalam fotografi dokumenter, menawarkan perspektif yang alami sehingga kita merasa lebih terlibat dalam sebuah momen. Fitur Leica Black & White semakin memperkuat cerita, menonjolkan tekstur, emosi, dan atmosfer ritual ini dalam nuansa monokrom.
