GRATITUDE DIARY HERE & NOW: gratitude for what we have helps us balance the negative perception bias of so much scary news and so reduce stress and anxiety.
Thinking of what we are GRATEFUL for HERE & NOW forces us to look around, pay attention to our bodily sensations and to engage with our surroundings - all this has a GROUNDING effect as it pulls us from imagining the future right into our bodies.

Today I am grateful it’s spring: both in nature and in me. I have a lot of energy, I see a lot of possibilities and I’ve started new projects (from running to Operation Salad 🥗- giving growing my own veg a go). I feel a bit lonely but I’m not bored - thanks to living in the countryside and TONS of fascinating lectures, talks and courses online (yes, I AM a nerd 😈)

HOW CAN I COMFORT MY FEAR? Walk alongside it. Take it by the hand. Be curious about it. It’s OK to be scared. It’s OK not to know what’s next. Taking care of ourselves requires telling the truth.
Be here now, centre, soften, release...
Pay attention to how you feel in your body. We cannot control what’s happening outside of us but we can choose to come back to ourselves, to our breath in moments like these.
Allow the fear to just exist. Give it space. Allow the unknown to be here, relax your body, be here now, centre, soften, release...
Today is a gift. You don’t have to do anything right now - just be here. Tell yourself: I don’t have to know what’s next. I will do my best right now.
