Cladoir Sheep Preservation Committee

Cladoir/Claddagh sheep at the celebration of indigenous breeds at Bunratty Castle and Folk Park on Sunday the 18th August 2024, an event hosted by the Irish Native Rare Breeds Society and the Bunratty Castle and Folk Park for Heritage Week.

Look at this gorgeous, soft, Cladoir fleece! Freshly sheared on the Heritage Day at Connemara National Park, then plied into yarn. Some yarn was also then naturally dyed with plants, and both the natural & dyed yarns were being knit into a hat- all on the day! More photos of this to come!
