Edward (Eamonn) Murphy, Pairc Bride, Athy, Co. Kildare passed away peacefully on Saturday 2nd May 2026 in the care of the staff St. Bridget’s Hospice, The Curragh. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Elizabeth, sisters and brothers Kathleen, Nancy, Lil, John and Paddy. Eamonn will be sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret, sons Eamonn and Andrew, grandchildren Aoife, Niamh, Craig, Eamonn and Christina, daughters-in-law Marie and Loriane, sister-in-law Maura, nephews, nieces and extended family.
Eamonn will repose at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Mount Hawkins, Athy (R14 NX80) on Tuesday 5th May, 2026 from 5pm until 7pm. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Wednesday 6th May, 2026 at 3pm in Thompson’s Cremation Chapel, Chapel Hill, Mount Hawkins (R14 NX80), Athy, Co. Kildare.
