Happy Bloomsday!
Today is Bloomsday, the day commemorating and celebrating James Joyce's novel 'Ulysses'. The book tells the story of a day in the life of protagonist Leopold Bloom and his odyssey through Dublin on 16 June 1904. Every year this day is celebrated in Dublin and the world over as 'Bloomsday' with readings, plays, walking tours, street festivals and people dressing up as characters from the book.
