Fermoy Rifle And Pistol Club

It was and is a very busy time at Fermoy Rifle & Pistol Club with the inter club competition between the local club and Wexford Bullseye Target Shooting Club having its second leg at the local club on Saturday 11thOctober. A fantastic day was had by all in beautiful autumn sunshine followed by the club hosting a dinner for the visiting team in Corbett Court Hotel.

The Wexford Team stayed overnight in Corbett Court before they returned to the club the following morning where they enjoyed the facilities again before heading home on Sunday afternoon.

Sunday 12th October saw the club host its latest Community Engagement Day with 32 visitors getting a tour of the club’s facilities; as is becoming the norm the club found itself signing up new members on the day who will soon be enjoying their new sport at the rapidly growing club.

The last Community Engagement Day for 2025 is being held on November 9th and is already fully booked out with applicants now going on the 2026 list.

Along with the monthly committee meetings the club committee has now scheduled a full day brainstorming session in November to clear the decks of unfinished business before the annual AGM later in the month.

Finally, the club Christmas dinner is moving to the Park Hotel in Dungarvan for 2025 to facilitate the members from the east of the country who constantly complain of nose bleeds from breathing in pure Fermoy fresh air; we have to do what we can to help those less fortunate than ourselves; Up The Deise!
