Shane Creagh Piper, a soon to be UCC graduate in public health, has recently publicised his battle with anorexia nervosa.
Through bravely speaking out about his personal journey he hopes to further spread the message and encourage others to talk about their conditions and to fight against the stigma of fear in Ireland.
He has started a fundraising initiative to give one person funded counseling for anorexia. 40 sessions are needed which comes to €2000, this drive will at least provide one person with the ability to access care that can save lives.
If you can support this fantastic initiative please do, or at least share this message to give others the chance to support it. Just follow this link to the idonate page, and join Shane in

Sharing ideas to help business in Cork 👍
brand
Here at Babelfís we care very deeply about the people and businesses of Cork, and now more than ever we feel we must show solidarity with local businesses and Corkonians alike. To show our support we are starting a hashtag , on which we will be sharing some ideas and inspiration that might help support Cork during this challenging time. Creativity is our resource, so that’s what we will be sharing, but we encourage everyone to use this hashtag to share anything they have that might help too.
The first of these ideas is based around Last week we came across an article on Breakingnews.ie that read 'Support needed for Cork's historic English Market', outlining the effect current restrictions are having on trade. The English Market has been a hub for essential fresh and local produce for over 230 years, but is feeling the strain of the lockdown and is seeking support, like many businesses are during this strange time.
Our idea is an online shopping and delivery app, that would enable locals to shop as normal while getting their groceries delivered to their door by fellow Corkonians looking to make some extra cash.
Do you know someone who might benefit from such an idea? Tag them below, and if you have an idea or can share a service or product that might help, then get posting and use the hashtag too!
