'A ridiculous situation' - 4,685 using learner driver permits after 26 years 4,685 people in Ireland are driving on learner permits more than a quarter of a century after they were issued with them.

From Monday 10th October all applicants attending for their driving test should proceed directly to the test centre. Applicants will no longer receive a phone call before their test.

Hi Everyone!
Please note that as and from Monday 17th of January, driving test candidates will be asked to confirm they have taken an antigen test within 24 hours of the test and that it was negative before their driving test proceeds. If no antigen test was taken or if there was a positive result the driving test will not be conducted and candidates will be given another driving test invitation free of charge. Driving test candidates have been advised of this requirement. For more information please see the RSA website.
