Coming up! The next in the MTU Cork School of Music/ Cork City Libraries Lunch Time Concert Series is on Thursday 15 January at 1.00 pm in the City Library featuring the Loinnir Quartet 🎵✨

The Loinnir Quartet are a newly-formed ensemble, founded in September 2025 under the tutelage of Christopher Marwood. The members of the quartet are Isabelle Kearney (violin), Brefní Burke (violin), Miriam Quin (viola) and Clara Kamlah (cello). They are all BMus students at the MTU Cork School of Music. The name Loinnir comes from the Irish word for radiance or brilliance, often used to describe sunlight glistening on the surface of the ocean.
