Childcare costs are set to reduce from September under new fee caps for providers taking part in the Core Funding scheme.

The changes have been welcomed by Louth TD Erin McGreehan, who said they will help make childcare more affordable for families across the county.

Meath County Council has approved plans that could see more than 3,400 new homes delivered across 11 settlements.

In his first speech as Mayor, he outlined his vision for a cleaner, healthier, prosperous, and united Borough District of Drogheda, while reflecting on his journey from Clare to the mayoral chain and paying tribute to the family, friends, and community who helped him along the way.
