Today is World Art Day 🎨
It celebrates creativity, expression and how art connects people.
I am not a traditionally trained graphic designer. And yes, many times there is that critique… that Canva designers are not “real” designers.
But I am proudly a creative person who loves expressing feelings through colours, layouts and visuals.
I grew up surrounded by artists, not visual artists, but dancers, musicians and theatre people. Creativity was always there. And yet, I could not even draw a simple picture in school, which honestly frustrated me a lot.
Still, at every stage of my life, I felt that need to create something.
With Canva, I finally got that opportunity.
When humans use their creativity and imagination to create something visual, that is art. And art nurtures creativity, innovation and cultural diversity. It helps us share ideas, spark curiosity and start conversations across the world.
That is exactly what design does too, even in the digital world.
With Canva and a clear intention, I help businesses express who they are and how they want to be felt.
Design is not just about making things look nice, but also a tool for communication. It is your business asset.
Every brand is its own little garden of expression. What you share and how it feels shapes how people connect with you.
That is why I love working with charities, memberships and training companies. Community is already at the heart of what they do, and good design helps strengthen that connection even more.
I always say clearly, I do Canva graphic design.Because Canva is a tool. And it is a good one. It makes design more accessible and opens the door for more people to create, express and connect.
And you do not need to be an “artist” in the traditional sense to do that.

Small tip that made me weirdly happy this week: Gmail now has a “Manage subscriptions” feature, and I love it.
In literally seconds, I could:
📧See every email list I’m signed up to
📧Unsubscribe from the ones I don’t need anymore
📧Quickly find emails from a specific sender
📧Finally locate that “I know she sent something about…” email
It feels like a mini inbox detox
👉 Go to Gmail → click Manage subscriptions on the left sidebar (if you have it) → and start tidying up.
But promise me one thing: You won’t unsubscribe from my emails 😉😂😂
