Our client, a leading property firm with an extensive branch network across Ireland, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as the Head of Compliance. In this key position, you will play a vital role in ensuring company wide compliance with industry regulations, including the Property Services (Regulation) Act, General Data Protection Regulations, and Anti-money laundering legislation.

As the Head of Compliance, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert guidance, opinion, and interpretation on compliance, regulatory, and HR matters to the senior management team and the wider business. They will have the opportunity to make a real difference by accurately interpreting regulations that impact both the organisation and its operating environment.

Primary responsibilities will include conducting regular audits across various business areas, both online and through branch visits, to ensure adherence to compliance standards. Additionally, they will be responsible for handling data access requests and ensuring GDPR compliance. Their role will also involve record maintenance and providing advisory guidance on human resource matters.

Strong communication skills are essential as they will deliver regulatory updates and compliance-related information to staff through presentations and electronic communication.

To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should:

Ideally possess a graduate degree or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in a Compliance/Audit function within a professional services firm is highly advantageous.
While a formal qualification in Compliance is preferred, it is not mandatory.
Be an organized individual who can self-manage multiple priorities, work effectively under pressure, and demonstrate sound judgment in the context of regulatory requirements.
