Magnesium & our menstrual cycle- what’s the link?

Magnesium is a superstar when it comes to managing symptoms of PMS, and yet up to 2/3rds of the general population aren’t consuming enough! 🥬🍫🍌

Some researchers propose that magnesium may work to alleviate PMS by calming the nervous system and by normalizing the actions of different hormones (mainly progesterone) on the central nervous system⚡️

It may also help to curb period cramps in some people, by relaxing the smooth muscle of the uterus and by reducing the prostaglandins that cause period pain 🩸

Given it’s benefits, magnesium rich foods form an important part of your diet.
