Nashville aka Music City has been on my wish list for years and a hosted trip by the Nashville Tourist Board, BA & American Airlines gave me the opportunity to visit recently.

It is home to some of the most famous and well-respected music venues in the world, including Studio B, Ryman Auditorium and the home of country music, the Grand Ole Opry. There is music to suit every taste (it isn't all country) and with an abundance of roof top bars & live music venues it makes for one fun city!!

Sri Lanka Part 3 - South Coast Beaches

The laid back vibes of the south coast are the perfect way to spend some time chilling at the end of an active couple of weeks. Highlights in this area for me were the Blue whales in Mirissa, turtle spotting in Unuwatuna and the historic centre of Galle. I will definitely go back to this part of Sri Lanka, its very special as it has managed to retain a lot of its local authentic charm. Great end to an amazing 17 nights in Sri Lanka!

Sri Lanka Part 2 - Hills, Tea Plantations and jungle

My second week was spent at a leisurely pace exploring the tea plantations and the highest points of Sri Lanka (also taking in one of the most scenic train journeys in the world) before going on to Yala National Park to search for the elusive leopard - yes I did see one!
Definitely a more relaxed vibe in this part of the country and the slightly cooler temperatures were very welcome.
