Inches! (again). Owen Wardell returns to solidify the defence with a dozen or so fearless tackles. Meanwhile Dylan Patton made one but he was kinda forced into it unwillingly.

What should have been a clean sheet and a typical 1 - 0 victory turned into a Liverpool-esque panic performance in the final third. Patrick Meghen, also returning acting the Andy Carroll role knocked down a few set pieces but there was no-one to finish.

Tactical switch moving Leeren to centre forward and Meghen to left wing proved crucial in the end as Rob O'Connor collected the ball at the half way line unmarked and slid a simple ball to Leeren (again unmarked?!) and he finished low into the right corner before being chopped down.

ABCDE FC 2 - 1 Templeogue

A very poor showing at the back today from an unsettled and hungover defence. Despite being 1 - 3 down with 20 minutes to play, the win was never in doubt. MotM Daniel Mullen for covering double the ground of any other player on the pitch!

As our defence implodes, key players are regaining their form for the run-in; Michael Vesey, Barry Griffin (25 minutes late again), Leeren Naicker (hat-trick) and a cameo centre forward appearance from GK Shane Tuohy (with an assist or two?).

Maybe for the next match we'll start with 11.

A good 5 - 2 win after a shaky start versus Sporting Irection. MotM Michael Vesey back to his 2010 best. Two more stand out performances were given by the other goalscorers Leeren Naicker and Barry Griffin.
