Our Story

Six years ago we got an idea which had been developing since the advent of digitally recorded music in the 1980s. Would it be possible to recapture and restore the analogue information lost in a digital recording? Could we do it without horrendous file sizes? It took a lot of time, experimentation and development, and a small fortune to fund it all, but we ended up with the MTT process and a first class mixing and mastering studio to work it in.

This is something new and as far as we know, there is no competition.

BREAK-THROUGH PROCESS

Intonation is a new high tech audio facility incorporating its ground-breaking MTT process which reconstructs digital recordings to their original analogue state, preserving them in their full original integrity inside digital files.

This is not an AD/DA conversion. It is a DA/AA re-build. It replaces the lost information discarded by the computer’s indiscriminate compression during digital recording.

For the first time, audio signals, transferred up to 192/384kHz pure analogue using our unique hardware and algorithms, are ‘cocooned’ inside your preferred DAW for normal editing before being returned to you in 44.1/48kHz (streaming), 88.1/96kHz (CD printing), 192/384 kHz (vinyl printing) formats with no loss of the original 192/384 kHz integrity.

This is audio as it was meant to be heard, and was unavailable up until now outside analogue recording directly onto tape.

For example, as an engineer you can now send us your unmixed tracks for MTT transfer into 192/384 kHz analogue and have them returned in any file size/format you wish in full lossless audio. The transfers remain intact on your own DAW with no need for any extra * equipment, for mixing and mastering by you.

Mixing and mastering can also be carried out by Intonation.
