Wee Pets, our 2027 calendar by artist Jo Jo Pearson is almost there! This calendar has inspired a few more special products for pets and animal lovers. We've teamed up with a few of our favourite makers to create some seriously special, limited edition products which we will share the details and development of in the coming weeks. These talented people include ceramicist karoArt * the clay fable, printmaker René Mullin and Mayo based producer of THE most luxurious dog beds The Sheepish Dog who use fabric from John Hanly & Co Ltd

We opened a little late this morning as we had Miriam from Cushendale Woollen Mills visit us to give us a greater insight into how her 8th generation family mill produce their stunning textiles. We have been a proud stockist of Cushendale for years now, we love their ethos, their emphasis on sustainability and the quality of their blankets and scarves. We heard about how the mill was established, how it harnesses the power of the river, the importance of respecting that river, how the yarn is sourced, carded, dyed and woven. Miriam brought in sample yarn, including fleece from our native Galway sheep which they use in many of their products. Amazing, insightful visit, and fab for our team to learn so much about the products they are selling to visitors of our shop. It is so important to support our craftspeople, if holidaying around Ireland, check out local studios. Cushendale have a fabulous shop alongside their mill in Graiguenamanagh. One of our favourite products, the berry colander from our pal Rosemarie Durr Pottery and exclusive to our shop. So handy, you will use it daily. Every element has been thought out, down to the pattern of the drain holes and the little handle. LOVE it! Perfect for Irish 🍓 berry season.
