𝗘𝗺𝘆𝗱𝗲𝘅 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗜𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝘂𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

On Sunday, a team of 10 from the Emydex Dublin office took on the 10k race in the Phoenix Park, one of the largest enclosed city parks in Europe.

This was Emydex's 13th year taking part in this race. Like previous years it was a cold and windy morning to start, but warmed up as the sun came out, with over 4,000 runners taking part.

Different pace, same goal. 100% finish rate 💪

Team Emydex at the Stadtwerke Lübeck Marathon 2025!

This was our second year participating in the Stadtwerke Lübeck Marathon in Germany, and it turned out to be an incredible weekend filled with energy, teamwork and fun.

Our runners included 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞, 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐌𝐜𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐨𝐧, 𝗚𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻, 𝐀𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐚𝐰𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬, 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨 𝐅𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐢𝐫𝐚, 𝐄𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐏𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐔𝐫𝐬𝐳𝐮𝐥𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐚, who took part in different race categories. David, Gavin and Adrian ran the 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 (𝟮𝟭 𝗸𝗺), while Urszula, EKaterina and Valerio completed the 𝟭𝟬 𝗸𝗺 runs.

𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 proudly completed the 𝗙𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 (𝟰𝟮 𝗸𝗺), officially the first full marathon logged by an Emydex runner. 💪

We were also joined by our colleagues from the BAADER Group, who ran alongside us and made the experience even more special. On the evening before the race, both teams shared a great dinner at Lübeck’s historic Schiffergesellschaft restaurant, many thanks to Petra Kappes for organising and to Nils Kuehnel and Dennis Schreiber for hosting and making us feel so welcome.💙

The event brought together around 4,000 runners from across Europe, all enjoying Lübeck’s scenic route through the city’s historic centre, including its famous illuminated tunnel, where colourful lights and music created an unforgettable atmosphere. 🎶✨

Congratulations to everyone who took part. You have made Team Emydex proud, and we are already looking forward to next year, with a few new volunteers ready to take on the challenge. 🏅

𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, 𝗦𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹 & 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿.

Last weekend, part of our team took on HELL & BACK, Ireland’s toughest mental and physical challenge. 7 km of mud, ice baths, rivers, bogs, steep climbs and even electric shocks, we discovered one truth: the only way forward is together.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗘𝗺𝘆𝗱𝗲𝘅’𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹 & 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸, and once again the experience proved why it is more than just a race. Every obstacle demanded quick planning, clear communication, trust and resilience. Alone, it would have been nearly impossible. As a team, we pulled, pushed, encouraged and laughed our way through, finishing side by side.

Experiences like this go far beyond the racecourse. They remind us that the strongest results happen when individuals bring their strengths to the team, and the team carries everyone across the finish line.
