Superfolk

I often think about how beaches get all the attention at this time of year - but there so much beauty and wildlife to explore and enjoy along our lakes. And most likely - you’ll quite possible have the place all to yourself.
Here’s some of what we saw yesterday in a few short hours along the shore of Lough Carra.

More damselflies than we’ve ever seen before - the air was thick with them. It was spectacular. Doesn’t really show up on video very well but watch the video carefully and tune in to the light blue colour.

There is so much to wonder at once you slow down and start to pay closer attention. Oh and one more thing - it’s all absolutely free.

Sycamore Keys

Today we’re adding a Sycamore Key print to our collection of Woodland Treasures.

Few things capture the simple pleasure of childhood quite like a sycamore helicopter. We still can’t resist picking them up, tossing them into the air, and watching them spiral gently back to earth.
