Congratulations to our 12 Leinster Lions who have earned their seat on the plane to Australia this summer. An absolutely incredible achievement that all of you fully deserve 👏. A record 15 Irish players were selected to tour the land down under including Jack Conan, Tadhg Furlong, Rónan Kelleher, Joe McCarthy, Dan Sheehan, James Ryan, Andrew Porter, Josh Van Der Flier, Jameson Gibson-Park, James Lowe, Hugo Keenan and Garry Ringrose 🦁.

It’s now two days on from our desperately disappointing result against a fantastic Northampton Saints side and only now do I feel I can write a post as fairly as possible without allowing my emotions do the talking. It was a game that everyone and their mother expected Leinster to win but oh boy were we all brought back down to Earth. We have no right to win any game but that has to be up there with one of the worst of the many sucker punches we’ve been on the receiving end of over the last few years. Another season goes by and the 5th star we all constantly talk about remains as elusive as ever. There’s still a URC to fight for but the one we all ache for has slipped by once again. We’ll get it someday, and my god will it be sweet. For now, we the fans have an obligation to support and lift a team that feels as disappointed and let down as we do. On Saturday we go again 💪.

Leinster were sublime this evening in their complete dismantling of the URC champions at the Aviva Stadium. The Glasgow Warriors had no answer as the boys in blue picked up where they left off last week in their unrelenting march towards a fifth Champions Cup title. It goes to show just how different Leinster are in this competition compared to the URC. A fifth star is the only thing that’ll do this season. Anything else just won’t satisfy Leo Cullen and his charges. Our All Black, Jordie Barrett showed real quality tonight and we’ll definitely miss tonight’s man of the match when he heads home to the Land of the Long White Cloud. A special mention has to go to Robbie Henshaw who made his 100th appearance for Leinster tonight. What a servant he has been. Into the semi final we go.
