Gardaí in Dundalk are appealing for information following a robbery at McEneaney’s XL shop in Muirhevnamor yesterday evening.

The incident occurred around 6.10pm when a male entered the shop at Glenmore Park demanding money. He then threatened a staff member with a rusted machete before fleeing the scene in the direction of the Holy Family Church.

The man is described as being 5ft 8in in height, of average build, with a stubbled chin.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Dundalk Garda Station on 042 9335577.
