💰Over the past few months lots of people have continued to trade in outdoor gear they no longer use for discounts. But as we are getting ready to start selling the gear, we are still looking for more outdoor gear!

🥾So if you have camping gear, outdoor clothes, watersport equipment, hiking gear, or anything else that you might need in the outdoors but that you no longer use, trade it in so others can have access to affordable, sustainable and high quality outdoor gear! ⛰️🏕️

Due to safety reasons, we can't take in any protective gear, but lot's of other adventure gear is accepted! Please consider trading in gear you no longer use, so others can bring it on new adventures 🚵‍♀️

After a break in 2020, the is back! 📢🥳

In 2019, the campaign reported record breaking numbers with over 300 clean-ups taking place around all of Ireland, engaging approximately 8,000 volunteers who removed at least 45 tonnes of marine litter across the country.

Now are calling people around Ireland to join us again and make this year's Big Beach Clean the biggest yet!

This year, the will take place on 17th-19th September and once again, we are delighted to have joined forces with and , who will help us support our volunteers with free clean-up kits.

During the Big Beach Clean, volunteers are encouraged to be part of an excellent round the world citizen science data collection project and to carry out marine litter surveys to quantify the amount and types of litter on Irish beaches. These surveys are aimed at heightening awareness about the issue of marine litter and serve as an indicator of the magnitude of the problem.

♻️ Sustainability: The idea of Requipped was born as Booley was looking for a way to become more sustainable as an outdoor store. Of course, by trading in or buying used outdoor gear, you lower the impact the item has on the natural environment. But we also aim for social sustainability, as we want to give back to the local community (stay tuned, more on that later!)

💰 Pricing: We also think it is important to make the outdoors accessible to as many as possible. High quality and sustainable gear can be more expensive, for example because everyone along the production line gets paid a fair wage (as it should be! 👏). At requipped, we will re-sell the stuff for maximum 50% of the new price, as we hope this encourages more people to go outdoors and afford sustainable outdoor gear!

🪟 Transparency: We are not in this to make a huge profit. Instead, we want to give back by organising various projects and events that benefit the local community and environment. And we stand by this! If you are wondering what we do with any of the money from the sales, how sustainable a brand really is, or anything really, just ask! We are here to help and inform❔
