🌍 Is your business ready for ICS2 changes in April 2025?
Big changes are coming to the EU’s Import Control System 2 (ICS2), extending to rail and road transport. This enhanced system ensures safer and more efficient supply chains by requiring detailed Entry Summary Declaration (ENS) data before goods arrive. 📦🚛
Key Updates to Note:
• Expanded Scope: Rail and road carriers, postal operators, and express couriers must submit ENS data.
• Consignee Responsibilities: Final consignees may need to provide ENS data or specific details.
• IT & Testing: Businesses must update systems and complete self-conformance testing for compliance.
đź’ˇ Avoid Delays and Stay Compliant:
1. Secure an EORI number to operate within the EU.
2. Upgrade IT systems for seamless ENS submissions.
3. Train your team on compliance procedures.
4. Request deployment windows if systems won’t be ready by April 2025.

🚨 Windsor Framework Changes Coming in March 2025 🚨
Significant changes are on the horizon for the movement of goods between Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Originally planned for September 2024, the implementation date has been extended to March 31, 2025, providing businesses with more time to prepare for new customs arrangements.
🌟 Key Changes:
•UK Internal Market Lane: Goods for sale or final use by end consumers in the UK and having UK domestic status will no longer require customs declarations or duties when moving from Great Britain to Northern Ireland.
•Eligible Goods: Clothing, electronics, domestic food products, household appliances, and personal care items.
•Exclusions: Goods subject to import controls, licensing requirements, prohibitions, or restrictions.
•Eligibility and Registration: To benefit from the UK Internal Market Lane, goods must be registered under the UK Internal Market Scheme.
•Red Lane for “At Risk” Goods: Goods likely to enter the EU single market will continue to be processed through the Red Lane, with customs declarations and duties required.
🌍 What This Means for Northern Ireland:
•Easier Trade: Moving goods more freely from Great Britain without customs paperwork or duties will reduce administrative burdens and costs.
•Compliance is Key: Proper registration and adherence to new rules will be essential.
đź“… Key Dates to Remember:
•March 31, 2025: Full operational status of the UK Internal Market Lane.
•Registration: Ensure goods are registered under the UK Internal Market Scheme.
