Summer Annual Leave
If you are struggling to calculate annual leave - here are some details

Annual leave:
* Most employees are entitled to 4 working weeks of annual leave each year. This is known as statutory entitlement. ‘Working week’ means the number of days usually worked in a week. For example, if an employee usually work 3 days a week, their annual leave week is also 3 days.
* An employer might give more annual leave.m than statutory entitlement
* An employees annual leave entitlement depends on how much time they have worked in a leave year. The statutory leave year runs from 1 April to 31 March. An employer may use the calendar year instead, but this doesn’t affect statutory leave entitlements.

* There are 3 ways to calculate how much leave an employee gets:

1️⃣ If an employee has worked at least 1,365 hours in a leave year, they are entitled to 4 working weeks paid annual leave. This method cannot be used if an employee changed employment during the leave year.

2️⃣ Calculate 1/3 of a working week for each calendar month an employee has worked at least 117 hours.

3️⃣ Calculate 8% of the hours an employee worked in the leave year, to a maximum of 4 working weeks.

* If an employee has worked for at least 8 months, they are entitled to an unbroken period of 2 weeks annual leave.
