Once awake after winter, bees are cleaning out the hive and sealing unwanted spaces with propolis. In some species only queen bee survives winter even though winter bees livespan is 4,5 to 7 times longer than summer bees and can be up to 6 months.

...and to keep warm they need energy-food wchich is saved in honey combs, and water.The water is extracted from the environment ambient.
