🚨 URGENT – THEY ARE STILL WAITING… 🚨
Over three weeks after we first appealed for help, Molly, Pierre, Cleo and Bella are still waiting for someone to offer them a foster or forever home. 💔
After the heartbreaking loss of their beloved owner, these lovely cats have been left without the home they once knew. Through it all, they have remained gentle, affectionate and trusting, and they deserve so much more than to keep waiting.
🐾 Molly is the mum of Cleo and Pierre, while Bella is the sweet senior of the group. They are all friendly, well-socialised and used to living with people.
Could you open your home to one, two, or even the whole family? Whether you can foster temporarily or offer a forever home, your kindness could change their lives.

☀️🐾 HEATWAVE WARNING FOR PET OWNERS
Ireland is currently in the middle of a heatwave, with temperatures reaching levels we’re simply not used to seeing. While many people are making the most of the sunshine, these conditions can be extremely dangerous for our pets.
At KLAWS, we’re increasingly concerned about animals being exposed to prolonged heat at beaches, parks, and outdoor activities. Every year, pets suffer from heatstroke, dehydration, burned paw pads, and heat exhaustion, conditions that can become life-threatening in a matter of minutes.
Please help keep your furry family members safe:
🐶 Avoid walks during the hottest part of the day. Early mornings and late evenings are much safer.
🔥 Check the ground before every walk. Hot pavements, roads, and sand can cause painful burns to paws. If it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for theirs.
💧 Always carry fresh drinking water. Never assume your pet can safely hydrate from natural water sources.
🌊 Take extra care at beaches. Dogs playing in the sea can accidentally swallow large amounts of salt water while retrieving toys or cooling off. This can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, severe dehydration, and in some cases, dangerous salt toxicity requiring emergency veterinary treatment.
🏖️ Provide shade and regular rest breaks. Many dogs will keep playing even when their bodies are overheating.
🚗 Never leave an animal in a parked car. Even for a few minutes. Temperatures can rise to deadly levels very quickly.
🐱🐰 Remember cats, rabbits, and other small animals too. Ensure they have access to cool, shaded areas and plenty of fresh water throughout the day.
🚨 Signs of heatstroke include:
• Excessive panting
• Drooling
• Lethargy or weakness
• Vomiting
• Confusion or disorientation
• Bright red gums
• Collapse or seizures
If you suspect heatstroke, move the animal to a cool area immediately, offer small amounts of water, and contact a veterinarian urgently.
Our pets rely on us to make safe decisions for them. What feels like a fun day out can quickly become a medical emergency when temperatures rise.
❤️ If you’re hot, they’re hotter. Protect your pets during this heatwave.
