Living on a small island it’s astounding how a devastating event can send such powerful ripples throughout our society.
The brutal murder of a young woman in broad daylight in a public place sent shockwaves up the spine of every woman on the island, triggering memories of past experiences or deeply held fears. Our good men too of course shocked and in disbelief trigggering in many shame of being a man in a culture, distorted by the patriarchal machine. In a world that has commodified our sacred sexual energy, the creative force and ultimately the Earth herself, we have been pitted against each other on the basis of identity politics, another way to control and separate us.
What are the questions we need to ask here? This sort of demonic behavior doesn’t come out of thin air. Men who commit crimes like this need to be profiled. How can someone become so disconnected from their heart, their soul to commit such heneous crimes?
What pharmaceutical or other drugs have they been taking ? What traumas have they experienced to fuel this type of mysogny ?
How can we begin to find our way back to a place of deep connection to source, to honouring the Mother as She who gives us birth, She who contains He. Nurtures and Nourishes.
By healing the mother wound, as men and woman, through forging a connection to earth and her wild nature, She can bring great healing. Plant a tree, a garden, put your hands in her soil.
