We are looking forward to welcoming our 3rd speaker to the stage on Saturday, Muireann Lohan. Last year Muireann took to the stage to talk to us about Pelvic Floor. This year Muireann is talking to us about the benefits of maintaining physical activity as we age, particularly strength training.

Muireann is a Chartered Physiotherapist who has specialised in the area of Women’s Health for 18 years. She worked in University Maternity Hospital in Limerick for seven years , followed by ten years in private practice.

In 2023 she returned to the HSE to a position as a Clinical Specialist in the area of pelvic health. Her background of treating pelvic floor dysfunction, general muscular and joint conditions, teaching Pilates classes, studying for a certificate in health coaching and a masters in western medical acupuncture have given her the skills to treat and help women of all ages to navigate their body’s responses to pregnancy, childbirth, return to exercise, injury management and perimenopause/Menopause.
