The Weekly Observer January 29th ran another piece on the pool developments to date

The Dean O'Brien Pool committee had a very positive meeting with our local councillors last evening in the Desmond Complex. The agenda was centered around how we can all work together to ensure that modern public swimming facilities can be made available for the people of NCW and surrounding areas. Many thanks to Michael Collins, John Sheahan, Francis Foley, Jerome Scanlan and Séamus Browne for your attendance and valuable participation. If you have any thoughts on the need for public swimming facilities in NCW, please speak to your local councillors. The success of this project depends on this committee, the Limerick City and County councillors and the public as a whole working together. NCW deserves modern inclusive facilities which would benefit young and old and people of all abilities. Many thanks for your ongoing support.
