β˜•Activity 3: Hug in a Mug β˜•

For this activity, students developed 'wellbeing toolkits' which included inspirational quotes, relaxation tips, and daily actions to support positive wellbeing. 🧠

This encouraged students to reflect on how they can support their own wellbeing, whilst recognising how simple acts of kindness and support can help them better understand and empathise with others. πŸ’œ

Students also enjoyed some well-deserved hot chocolate during this activity! β˜•πŸ‘

This week, we're celebrating St. Mary's Glasnevin's Civic Engagement Day, and taking a look at the fantastic work students took part in throughout the day.🌟

Throughout the week, we'll be sharing each of the different activities that helped students build empathy, strengthen connections, and develop valuable life skillsπŸ—£οΈ

🎨 Activity 1: The 'Imagination Station' 🎨

For this activity, students took part in a Story Exchange, taking turns to share their favourite memory from first year. Later, students created amazing illustrations based on the story told to them by their partner. πŸ–ΌοΈ

A great opportunity for students to connect, practice active listening, and use their imagination to change perspectives!
