Linda Breathnach is an IACP accredited Counsellor Psychotherapist working with clients since 2000.
Two therapists may be equally skilled at supporting clients, yet one has a thriving private practice while the other struggles to fill their schedule. Often the difference isn’t clinical ability, but confidence in sharing their work and building their practice.
Power Up Your Private Practice offers a space to reflect, reconnect with your professional identity, and feel motivated about growing your practice.
In the workshop we’ll explore practical skills around:
📌 Marketing your work in an authentic way
📌 Managing the business and admin side of practice with more confidence
📌 Developing a clear and strong professional identity
If you’re curious about the workshop or would like to know more, please feel free to get in touch with any questions you might have.

Overwhelm often creeps in when too much lands at once, whether there are unexpected changes, competing demands, or simply having too much on your plate. When everything feels urgent, it can be hard to know where to start.
The 4 Ds approach is based on the Eisenhower Matrix, developed by American President Dwight D. Eisenhower, and later popularised by Stephen Covey. It can be helpful to sit and draw a simple grid divided into four boxes and sort everything on your to-do list into one of them.
▫️Do: Important and urgent tasks that need to be prioritised and done immediately - do these now!
▫️Delegate: Tasks that need to be done but can be handled by others - share the load!
▫️Defer/Delay: Tasks that are important but not urgent - schedule for later!
▫️Delete/Discard: Tasks that are not important or urgent - remove them from the list!
Overwhelm eases when we pause and decide. 📝

Looking forward to facilitating the IACP Supervisor CPD tomorrow, with 113 supervisors signed up.
We’ll spend the day exploring burnout prevention, both in how we care for ourselves as Supervisors, and how we support Supervisees in navigating it.
It will be a reflective, interactive day, with space for discussion and shared learning in breakout groups.
A lovely way to kick off 2026 by returning to work I genuinely love.
