Happy Halloween π»π
Halloween can be very overwhelming for our pets so hereβs our top tips to keep them safe today:
β’ Walk dogs early in the day before fireworks begin
β’ Keep pets indoors, creating a safe and calm environment for them
β’ Be careful when answering the door that your pet does not escape
β’ Ensure your pets microchip details are up to date and ideally have an I.D tag visible on their collar
β’ Stash chocolate and sweets away from pets as it is toxic to them
β’ Ideally avoid pet costumes and if you do use one ensure it is safe and not left on them for too long
β’ Avoid dangerous decorations that pets can get caught up in or chew
If you have any concerns about your pet this Halloween and keeping them calm, call the clinic to discuss it with one of our nurses at 01-8256213. We hope everyone has a safe and happy Halloween π

Looking for a forever home π€
Toffee is a male cat approximately 3 years old and is unfortunately looking for a new home. He is friendly but shy so would better suit an adult only home.

Stay tick-aware this season π·οΈ itβs that time of year when ticks are most active during the spring and summer so it is important to protect our pets during this season by using preventative parasite treatments π
Other ways to protect our pets from ticks include:
πΏ Check for ticks after walks especially after walks in long grass, when checking make sure to check their ears, armpits and between their toes!
πΏ If you find a tick on your pet, remove it safely with a tick remover or call your vet if you are unsure!
Call into the clinic to speak to one of our nurses about suitable parasite treatments for your pet πΎ
