As Ireland's Presidency of the Council of the European Union commenced on 1 July 2026, Offaly and was proudly represented at ‘Tionscnaimh agus Táirgí na hÉireann’ (Irish Projects and Products) at the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels.

The special reception, hosted by the Irish Delegation to the European Committee of the Regions and Ireland's Regional Assemblies, celebrated the innovation, culture, enterprise and achievements of regions across Ireland, highlighting the important contribution of counties like Offaly to Ireland’s success story.
