Engage with Architecture

Yesterday was the last day of the NS Engage with Architecture workshops. Thanks to all the teachers and students who participated. The children did a fantastic job coming up with creative solutions for unused buildings in their locality. Projects included a variety of designs from recreation centres to chemists, cafes, B&B’s and old style sweet shops. All will be on view at an upcoming exhibition. Details to follow...

Artists on Architecture exhibition, curated by Oonagh Young will open on Feb 20th 7pm at Birr Theatre & Arts Centre but will be bilocated with some of the works also showing in Aras an Chontae. 'De-fragmented Roma' by Eva Bachman is one of the works seclected alongside those by national and local artists
