The Using Homeopathy at Home course will be taking place during June in Wicklow Town. If you are interested in more information just get in touch. There are evening options 7pm - 9pm OR Thursday mornings 10am - 12 noon.

Cost is €90 per person for the full course but this will reduce to €75 pp if there is a group of 5 or more

In advance of the workshops I'll be asking you to tell me which ailments regularly visit your homes so that we can tailor the course to fit exactly with what you need. You can also then practice in between the dates we meet and we can discuss any problems you come up against along the way.

If you are interested in doing a “Using Homeopathy at Home” workshop or course at some point over the next few months then please get in touch. I tend to run these when 5 or 6 people are all available at the same time and as I’ve had a few people enquire recently about one I thought I’d ‘put it out there’ to gather together a few more interested in the idea.

So the day, time and duration of the course will depend on when people are available. Generally it can be over two half days at the weekend or a series of weekly two hour seasons during the week.

You will learn how to tackle the specific day to day complaints that visit your own households by using homeopathic remedies. I’ll highlight when to prescribe or repeat a remedy, when to wait and observations to know when a remedy is working. This key information will be clearly outlined and repeated throughout the course/workshops.

Something topical for Winter: We know that a fever is often the first symptom of a cold, flu, or a sore throat and there are many homeopathic remedies that can be used for people with these symptoms. But allowing a fever to run its course can often be helpful as this is the body trying to fight the initial sign of infection.

Where someone is starting to struggle with a temperature/fever, Aconite or Belladonna are two remedy starting points to consider. For Aconite to be indicated there is often a sudden onset of symptoms perhaps after exposure to cold air. There may also be a dry croupy cough with runny nose and sneezing, or hoarseness/dryness of throat.

With Belladonna the person tends to look flushed, be radiating heat and may have dilated pupils with throbbing pains in their throat or head, and there may also be a cough developing.

The chosen remedy can be given in pill form or dissolved in water, as frequently as needed until the temperature lowers. If there is no response after 4-6 repetitions you need to consider a different remedy.

Homeopathic remedies can be very helpful in dealing with coughs. The key is to match the symptoms of the cough to the symptom picture of the remedy.
