My name is Moshe “Ziggy” Zharnest, and I have the privilege of being the Director of this wonderful program! I am born and raised in Fair Lawn, NJ and married to a lovely women named Orit (from Chicago) and have 3 wonderful kids (2 boys and a girl), I have been an EMT since i was 16 and a firefighter since I was 18, I was Chief of the Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corp (twice). I currently work for the BEST place in the world (not in Israel), namely Yeshiva University and can’t wait to see you all and chat about everything medical, torah, college, life! HEY RESCUE FAM!!! My name’s Marlee Fried and I’m so excited to be your advisor this summer!! Now time for the basic info- I’m from Montreal 🍁, (shoutout to all my Canadians) and yes I am eating poutine in the second pic and yes, it is incredible (but it’s only good from Montreal sorry not sorryyyy.) I went to Bialik High school and Machon Maayan for seminary and now spending my 3rd summer☀️with NCSY…That being said, here’s some things you should definitely know about me before we enter the summer together
1. I tend to cry 💧and also occasionally sneeze when I laugh so if you catch me with tears in my eyes or if I look like I’m having a severe allergy flareup pray that it’s from laughing.
2. Some people say I have a built in microphone 🎤 but don’t worry, I will most likely lose my voice within the first week of summer. My record for the shortest time of losing my voice on a summer trip is 8 hours, so let’s see how I do this time around…
3. I’m ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS down for a dance party 🪩. Although I’m a self proclaimed incredible bus DJ per my top artists of, Thank You Hashem, Morgan Wallen, and Pitbull, you best believe that whenever I’m on AUX, I always deliver.
4. I have a hot pink 🩷 water bottle. I’m really only sharing this you because I tend to leave my stuff everywhere… so if you see it, please pick it up and return it to me, its a pretty cool water bottle and I’ll be really sad if I lose it.

Hey guys!! My name is Jordan Levovitz and I’m hypeddd for the summer. I’m from Queens, NY 👑 and went to MTA for high school and then spent two years learning in Yeshivat Hakotel🇮🇱. I just graduated 🎉 YU with a degree in psych and bio while doing the premed track 🩺. Some fun facts about me: I almost drowned in a small tub of water in the old city 💧(and that’s the 2nd closest I’ve been to dying), I’m an absolute seltzer snob 🫧, I’ve been skydiving 🪂 (3rd closest), and I’m the biggest Noah Kahan stan I know 🍁(I’m missing a chance to see him play in MSG in July so you know this summer is important to me). I also love to cook 👨‍🍳 , bake 🎂, hike 🥾, travel ✈️, and read 📚. Can’t wait to meet you all in a couple of weeks and get back to the holy land (mostly to eat, but also for spiritual reasons).Get pumped!!🔥🔥
