A therapist, a contractor, and a travel agent walked into my Zoom rooms this week.
It may sound like the start to a bad joke, but it's true!

Different industries. Different problems. Same exact cause.
Overthinking!

Each one was drowning in possibilities of worst-case scenarios; the classic paralysis that comes from trying to get everything right before taking a single step.

Here's what I told them:
Baby steps may not sound like a strategy, but it works for us all.

When a baby learns to walk, it falls. Gets up. Falls again. It doesn't overanalyse the biomechanics of balance or fear what people will think when it hits the floor. It just goes on until it eventually walks.

But most parents teach you from early on to unlearn that instinct.
So we wait until the path is clear, ie, when the risk is zero.
But it never is, especially in your business.

The antidote isn't motivation.
It's one small action — taken now, albeit imperfectly. This creates the momentum the next action needs.
