Sometimes the smallest moments in nature give us exactly what we need ๐ฉท
Yesterday I drove one of my boys to the bus so he could go back to his base. On the way, we passed green hills with cows grazing and the sun shining so beautifully over everything.
I just wanted to stop the car and go for a long walk there. It looked so peaceful. But with everything going on right now, that wasnโt really possible.
So today on my walk, I went to a small place nearby with some trees and flowers. Nothing big, just a quiet corner of nature.
Standing there in the warm sun and looking at the greens and the colors of the flowers, I felt my whole mood shift. It was almost immediate.
I even found myself taking a few pictures of things I might normally just walk past. It felt nice to pause for a moment and really notice the beauty around me.
By the time I got home, I felt lighter, with more energy and a better mood.
It always amazes me how powerful nature can be. Just seeing plants, flowers, and their colors can gently lift our mood and help our bodies relax.
Try to take a few minutes today to step outside and notice the colors around you. It might do more for you than you expect. .

Itโs no wonder so many of us feel tense, exhausted, or on edge right now. Our stress system is running constantly, responding to everything happening around us.

Perimenopause to menopause is a transition that can take years, and often the symptoms appear before weโre ready.
This stage of life is a deeply personal journey. Sometimes the signs are subtle, sometimes theyโre loud, but we feel it.
Have you ever heard yourself saying, โI donโt feel like myselfโ
Fatigue, irritability, aches, dry skin and eyes, itchy ears (yes, that one), weight gain, brain fog, insomnia, and night sweats, the list goes on and on... I hear this from patients and friendsโฆ and honestly, Iโm right there with you.
These changes happen because hormonal communication in the body is shifting. Estrogen and progesterone begin to fluctuate and no longer move in the steady rhythm they once did. These hormones donโt only affect reproduction, they also influence our brain, mood, sleep, metabolism, bones, skin, and heart.
At the same time, other hormones come into play. Stress hormones like cortisol, blood sugar regulating hormones like insulin, thyroid hormones, and even testosterone all interact with this transition. When the system is under stress or out of balance, symptoms become louder.

What happens when we hold everything inside and donโt let go?
When we donโt listen to our bodies?
Our bodies are always speaking to us through symptoms.
Pain, exhaustion, anger, emptiness, digestive discomfort, cravingsโฆ these are not random. They are messages.
When we listen, we can help the body. Sometimes through the food we eat, sometimes through rest, sometimes by addressing an emotional place weโve been avoiding.
When the body feels heavy, stuck, or overwhelmed, itโs asking for attention.
Is there something in your life that feels stuck right now?
Something youโre holding onto thatโs holding you back?
When emotions arenโt expressed or released, they often show up in the body in the head, the stomach, the shoulders, the chest.
I see this with patients. Many want the pain or discomfort to disappear immediately, and thatโs understandable. But when the root isnโt addressed, it often comes back. Not because the body is โagainst us,โ but because it hasnโt been heard yet.
When people take a moment to connect inwards to really ask why this is happening, things begin to make sense. Awareness changes everything.
Next time a feeling comes up, emotional or physical, pause.
Take a deep breath.
Be with yourself, truly be with yourself, and listen to what your body is trying to tell you.
Itโs like looking in the mirror and seeing whatโs actually there.
What if you stopped for that moment and paid attention?
What would your body tell you?
Healing begins with awareness.
With compassion toward yourself.
With choosing to lift yourself up, not put yourself down.
With the willingness to make small changes that support what you truly need.
