A major administrative reshuffle is underway in the Secretary level of Tripura Government as senior officers are repatriated from central deputation or outside of state.

Dr. Parshant Kumar Goyal (TR:2007) Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Finance and Sonal Goel (TR:2008) who was reportedly serving as Resident Commissioner, Tripura Bhavan, New Delhi have joined the state government this May.

At present, Tripura Government is seeing retired officers’ services extended to take charge of several departments. Retired IAS officers like Apurba Roy, Pradeep Kumar Chakravarty, Anindya Kumar Bhattachrya, Uttam Kumar Chakma, and Lalhming Thanga Darlong still looks after key departments under Manik Saha led administration.

With the lack of senior officers in the administration, Tripura Government has been requesting Centre to relieve IAS officers who were deputed under the central government. With the incoming of senior officers back to Tripura, reshuffles are likely of major departments.

Runiel Debbarma is the new chief executive member of TTAADC and is also the first millennial to hold CEM office. Taking an oath of the office on Wednesday, Runiel have said that ‘Education, Health, and Water’ will the top most priority.

With Runiel Debbarma as the CEM, Tipra M***a Party have signalled a big push on youth leadership in TTAADC. Bubagra Pradyot Manikya have earlier stated at several occasions that if Nepal could have a 36 year old Prime Minister to lead the country why not we also put out youth in top leadership.

The 37 years old representing the Bodhjungnagar-Wakkinagar constituency, who have also held the EM post with Public Works Department (PWD) and Rural Development Department (RD) in the previous TTAADC government is known to be close with Bubagra Pradyot. Runiel have also been working beside Bubagra Pradyot since his early days.

At present, Tipra M***a Party have elected Bhabaranjan Reang as chairman, CEM Runiel Debbarma, and one EM C.K. Jamatia who is a former IAS and has served as TTAADC chief executive officer.
