JAMA MASJID AMU, TAJ MAHAL AGRA & AKBARABADI MASJID DELHI
The Jama Masjid AMU was built between 1879 and 1915, with Sir Syed Ahmad Khan's vision and guidance. The mosque is a testament to the University's rich history and cultural heritage. The mosque's construction and design demonstrate the blending of Indian, Persian and Islamic architectural styles, characteristic of Mughal architecture. The Akbarabadi Masjid in Delhi was built during the Mughal era and the inscriptions were done by the artists of the Taj Mahal. The ruins of this Masjid were salvaged after the 1857 revolt. The same was rescued and later used in the AMU's Jama Masjid by Sir Syed. The AMU Jama Masjid's design and inscriptions reflect the cultural and architectural heritage connecting it to the Taj Mahal and Akbarabadi Masjid.
